Introduction: Applying to Boston University School of Dental Medicine Postdoctoral and Graduate Programs

Thank you for your interest in applying to a postdoctoral or graduate program at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine.

The Boston University School of Dental Medicine has a solid history of postdoctoral dental education. The School was founded in 1963 as the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry; the predoctoral programs were initiated in 1972. Boston University School of Dental Medicine has a faculty of more than 325 educators, clinicians, and researchers, and offers a full spectrum of postdoctoral programs and degrees.

Postdoctoral and graduate students are enrolled starting only in the fall semester (most programs have a start date in early July).

To be considered for admission to the postdoctoral programs at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, an applicant must hold a DMD or a DDS degree from an accredited college or university (or its international equivalent) or be enrolled in a course of study that will result in the award of such a degree before the commencement of postdoctoral study. (An exception is the Master of Science program in dental public health, which does not require a DMD or DDS degree.)

Applications for Boston University School of Dental Medicine Postdoctoral and Graduate Programs must be submitted through PASS (Postdoctoral Application Support Service). PASS is a centralized application service offered by the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) at www.adea.org/pass.
