Why should I take Continuing Education courses online?
- Learn on your schedule. Take your course when it is most convenient for you. You can work on it at night, on the weekend, or any time you have free. Set the pace yourself. Online means you never have to worry about someone else's schedule.
- Learn from home. There is no need to travel to earn your credits. Every aspect of the course is completed electronically, and you will receive your certificate in the mail.
- Learn as much as you want. With the internet at your fingertips, you can expand your knowledge from the course through pertinent primary sources and interactions with the professor.
How do I take Continuing Education Courses Online?
Follow these steps to earn your CEUs online:
- Register for the course (see courses)
- Set up your account. You will receive e-mails guiding you through the creation of your online account and gaining access to the course.
- Complete the course on your own time and e-mail or fax the test to your instructor.
- Earn CEUs. You will receive a certificate of CEUs completed if you score at least 80% on the test.
How does the online/on-site Radiology Certification Program work?
- The online Radiology Certification program is designed to teach you the lecture material through our online course before you come to the Dental School for the clinical session.
- When you sign up for the course, you pay in full for the online and on-site portions.
- When you have satisfactorily mastered the online material, call the Continuing Education Division of the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine at 617 / 638-5656 to schedule your clinical session.
- Upon the completion of both parts of the course, you will be qualified to expose radiographs in Massachusetts in accordance with the regulations of the Board of Registration in Dentistry.

- The clinical sessions are held on certain weekends. To find out the schedule or set
up your session, call 617/ 638-5656 after you have completed the online portion. If you cannot take the course on a weekend for personal reasons, please let us know and we will do our best to
accommodate you.
