Dr. Hussam Batal

Doctor Batal is an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He graduated from Damascus University, Syria and then completed his DMD training through the Advanced Standing program at BUGSDM. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at BUGSDM in 2003. In 2003, Doctor Batal assumed the position of Clinical Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery outpatient clinic at BMC, and in 2004, he was also appointed as the Director of the one-year Pre-Residency Internship program. Doctor Batal’s interests include surgical management of facial trauma, hard and soft-tissue implant surgery, and treatment of odontogenic cysts and tumors. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Doctor Batal has published in the professional literature on dentoalveolar and implant surgery.
