Dr. Pushkar Mehra Vice-Chairman and Director, Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Boston Medical Center; Associate Professor and Director of Residency Training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Boston University School of Dental Medicine Doctor Mehra is Associate Professor and Director of Residency training in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He obtained his predoctoral education from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, India, and BUGSDM. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency from the combined training program between Boston University and Tufts University. Following graduation, he did a fellowship in Maxillofacial Reconstructive Surgery under the tutelage of Doctor Larry Wolford at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Doctor Mehra also holds the position of Director of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Boston Medical Center hospital. His clinical interests include surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, benign and malignant maxillofacial pathology, nerve repair, and complex functional and esthetic facial reconstruction surgery including Orthognathic, TMJ and Cosmetic Surgery. Doctor Mehra has over 50 publications in medical and dental journals and textbooks and is frequently invited to lecture at various national and international meetings. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
