Students can either purchase health insurance coverage through BU or enroll in a comparable plan on their own. BU offers a plan through Aetna Student Health. Please click here for insurance costs. continuing students on harvard pilgrim health care during 2007-2008 Students enrolled in Harvard Pilgrim Health Care during the 2007-2008 academic year will automatically be enrolled in the Aetna Student Health Individual (HI) Plus Plan as of September 1, 2008. Your Fall invoice will reflect the new insurance rate for that academic year. A student must have a qualifying US-based health insurance plan. To waive the plan offered by BU, follow the next three steps:
Qualifying Events: You may also enroll or change plan type anytime if you have had a qualifying event. Qualifying events include: a new baby, marriage, divorce, or loss of coverage through a parent. Documentation of your qualifying event must be presented at the time of enrollment.
