The 115 student workstations (located in two main teaching salons) are each equipped with patient simulators designed specifically for Boston University. Each "patient's" head comprises a removable jaw into which students insert a variety of practice teeth. This jaw closely duplicates actual jaw movements. Students cover the completed head with a rubber face to simulate actual working conditions, and can position the head and torso exactly like a living patient in a dental chair. |
